San Miguel Schools must raise $12,000 to purchase 2 used cars to provide our volunteer teachers transportation to and from our schools.   San Miguel depends on the work of our Lasallian volunteer teachers, a group of dedicated and highly trained recent college graduates who give at least one year of service while living together and sharing community.  In exchange for their work in our schools, they earn a small monthly stipend and room and board in the community house in Oak Park.

Currently, San Miguel is able to provide our volunteers with two vehicles and while they have served us well, the lease is up and we are looking to the generosity of our supporters to help replace them. By donating to San Miguel Schools, YOU can help us raise the funds needed to purchase 2 cars for our volunteer teachers to commute from the community house in Oak Park to our schools on the south side and west side of Chicago.
